Well, with the exception of a few little odds and ends, the floor is done... (Thanks, Jon!)
All but one of the Louboutin tables have made their journey to their new home...

The comfy chairs...
Since I seem to keep taking this same shot, I threw it in for grins. It's a boring picture (and I forgot to turn on the lights), but it'll be interesting to see the evolution of the shop from this perspective when we're all finished...

And next Sunday we're hosting our first private event - a friends and family celebration to christen the new space - woot!
Last night, we attended a house concert hosted by Andy and his wife, Ange. I don't know what to say about Andy, other than he's a brilliant, creative mind with musical talents and abilities that would put most of the stuff we hear on the radio to shame. Not only are we thrilled that Andy's willing to share his gifts with us at The Nook, but it's an honor to call both he and Ange our friends; they're just good people, yo. (Click HERE to see what Andy's up to.)
Wendy Clark of Tequila Mockingbird sang a couple of songs last night. I haven't seen TM perform yet, but after the little taste we got last night, I'm totally looking forward to catching their next show!
And, finally, Eric Shiveley wrapped up the evening with an eight-song set which concluded with, "You Don't Know Me At All". Like Andy, Eric is madly, deeply talented and the songs he writes are poignant, relevant and gut-wrenching. I'm not a music critic so I can't do this whole music review thing a lick of justice. I only know what I like - and...I like. Oh - and if you ever have the opportunity to see Eric's (award-winning) documentary, "Everything But You" - you should definitely check it out.
Well - it's a busy day, so I better get back to it. I do want to send a Happy 22nd Birthday shout-out to my stepson, Ben: May all your wildest dreams come true, Benny Benny Boo Boo Bear!
